Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence based therapeutic approach that focuses on changing emotions, thoughts, and behaviours resulting from a traumatic experience. EMDR has been found to be useful for a variety of concerns including PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

At Sandham Psychological Services we offer virtual and in-person individual therapy. Individual therapy entails working one-on-one with a trained mental health professional. Research indicates that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy.
To work with concerns that clients bring to therapy, we at Sandham Psychological Services take a hope-focused approach and incorporate emotion-focused therapy and EMDR. All approaches are based on research that supports the effective use with clients.
